“This detailed mapping guarantees the population and other interested parties quick and direct access to precise data on the location and status of each piece of equipment”, explained the local authority.
The georeferencing of all sports facilities in the municipality of Leiria has been available, since Thursday, on the Chamber’s website.
“This new development represents a significant step towards improving access to information about available equipment, promoting more efficient management and encouraging sports practices for the entire community”, revealed the city hall.
According to information from the municipality, “in total, almost 500 sports structures were mapped, covering a wide range of options: football pitches, courts, swimming pools, sports rooms, small multi-use courts and other infrastructures, whether public or private, whether active or inactive”.
