Paris FC, from the French 2nd division, is bought by the Arnault family, owner of the LVMH group

After 14 rounds, the team from the French capital is leading the second division of the Championship.

The purchase of Paris FC, from the French second division, by the Arnault family, owners of the luxury goods empire LVMH, was made official this Friday (29), after six weeks of negotiations between the parties.

“With the arrival of Agache Sports and Red Bull, Paris FC has the means to set ambitious goals”, commented in a statement the club’s former majority shareholder, Pierre Ferracci, who was confirmed as president.

The Agache holding company now has 52.4% of the club’s shares through Agache Sports.

The Austrian group Red Bull, owner of clubs such as RB Leipzig in Germany and RB Salzburg in Austria, has partnered with the Arnaults and now has 10.6% of the shares.

The Arnault family announced on October 17 that they were in “exclusive negotiations to acquire a majority stake in Paris FC”.

After 14 rounds, the team from the French capital is leading the second division of the league.

A possible promotion to the top flight could take the club to another level to compete with the country’s big clubs.

Paris FC was founded in 1969 and also has a women’s team, which is currently third in the French league, behind Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain.
