The Portuguese women’s under-19 team today secured a place in the final qualifying round for the European football category, by beating North Macedonia 3-0, in a game at the Municipal Stadium in Lagos.
Portugal recorded their second victory in their second Group 2 game, with goals from Diana Costa (35 minutes), Dária Kaminska (37) and Carolina Santiago (45+6), adding six points, the same as France.
With one round remaining in this phase and when the top three qualify for the next phase and the quarterfinals are relegated to League B, France and Portugal have an unreachable six points, and North Macedonia and Slovakia have yet to score.
